Abstract

The study demonstrates that optimizing fenestration design by adjusting the window-to-wall ratio, aspect ratio, sill and lintel heights, and glazed door placement can significantly improve natural daylight in high-density bungalows while maintaining privacy. The findings show up to a 35% increase in interior daylight, reduced glare, and enhanced energy efficiency through optimized openings and appropriate shading strategies.
