Abstract
The transition from the classroom to the corporate boardroom represents a critical phase in an individual’s professional development. While academic institutions traditionally focus on subject knowledge, modern workplaces increasingly demand a diverse set of transferable skills that enable graduates to function effectively in complex, dynamic environments. This paper examines the key skills required for this transition, including communication, critical thinking, teamwork, adaptability, emotional intelligence, leadership, and professionalism. Drawing on existing literature, the study highlights how these competencies are developed in educational settings and later applied in professional contexts. The paper argues that bridging the gap between academic learning and workplace expectations is essential for long-term career success and organizational growth.
